Splinter Cannon warrior painted for my first squad of DE. I still haven't flocked the base, but I'm seeking advice and critiques of my work before I paint another squad.

Everything on these models is brighter than IRL, I think it had to do with the proximity of the flash from my digital camera. They're still bright, however. Thanks for the comments so far, check my newer posts to see if I'm making the proper improvments!

Those colours are just desturbing! For advise, use two or three thinned coats of basecolour for a smoother finish, use a midtone highlight, and maybe use a wash for deeper shading. You have a steady hand, so you should be able to see improvements in no time :)
