Bretonnian Fey Enchantress

I think this must be the first time I have ever painted a mounted figure of any sort. Getting the horse to stand on the base was tough becuase of the heavy, all metal figure, but I finally got it to stay in position with by fixing it to the stones with rock-hard resin. This figure was fun to do in a sense because it is a great figure on which to do the transparent cloth effect. Also, it allows me to sculpt and paint roses as well as other natural forest effects, which would not really fit on some of the other warhammer units. As a fey enchantress of some sort, I do kind of expect magical effects to surround her wherever she goes, like magic foam/smoke/cloud effects coming from her goblet and roses springing up where she stands. It's sort of a throwback to all those fairy tales I got to listen to when I was growing up as a kid. They say mushroom rings grow up where fairies tread, but I prefer roses...:) Btw... in case you a wondering about the pink roses... I was informed by a friend that there ARE roses in that fantastic shade. Now that is surprising news...:o

Sorry, but the roses and leaves make me think of cake decorations. The mini is beautiful though. Would like to see better and closer pics.

Excellent. Its not that everyday a mini comes along that I would gladly put on the mantlepiece. Its a great mini sculpt well painted and very colourfull. My dad grows roses and believe me they can be any shade or colour, and as these are magical so what.Translucent effect is great.I dont know if its on purpose but I like the contrast of the roses and the mini on the dark base.A facial close up would be nice, maybe as far down as the sword :-)
