First of all, i want to tell you i rate it objectively. When i started with minis... erm.. my first was so awful you couldn't tell what was the face, what was the hair and what was the hekm for example ;) That's true, more than 10 years after, there's tutorials, books... but it's a VERY GOOD first mini. Keep it, and you'll be proud to show it later: "Hey look, it's my first one, where's yours?"
I love the beard/stubble/shadow. Fairly well defined. A little more highlight on the belt/sash metal bits would help. A little grass on the base or flagstone.
I give it an 8 because it looks good for a 1st.
you have done well on the face and hair but you have gone a bit overboard with the highlights on the clothing.
All in all a great 1st mini
