Necromunda Ratskin Scout
So after long time I returned to painting a gang for my Necromunda gang. Although we do not play Necromunda at our club now, I hope we will return to this great game soon (I'll try to run new campaign). Although I do many new methods now, like NMM, I wanted this miniature to fit into my existing gang and so I had to stick with some things, like using metallic colors for metals or the way to do the base. But of course if you compare this mini to my older Necromunda minis, you will notice the difference in painting quality - although I keep the same style of colors, the finish is much smoother. I wanted to paint the mini in a neutral way. This is Ratskin, someone that lives in Underhive, someone that is considered to be probably the most natural inhabitant of Hive, that is able to hide in the sturcture. Something like redskin in America (hey, I think this is why they are called ratskin, the similarity is obvious). So he's got no shining unnatural colors on himself, just simple blue jeans :-), mutant rat hide and black boots. People that know my Necromunda minis may noticed that I use names for them painted on the base. As Ratskin are based on Indians I wanted to give him extraordinary name, not common one like I used for my Delaques. Even in Necromunda fiction published by GW they quite often get Indian-like names. Because Hive is not opened place under the sky, I could not use name like Sitting Bull or Sea Eagle. I was thinking about Grey Spider, but when I tried it, it was too long, so I shortened it to Spider only. Yes, the word Pavouk means Spider in Czech.
