Yes after some pointed out that the cars looked nice, I retook the piccie. I used very slow layering techniques and yes it took forever and a day, but I love the results. Used mostly pro paint
Another option besides "freehand" and transfers would be to do real heraldry.
Look in a book of heraldry and see what you can do with nothing but a straight line (I'm sure you can paint a striaght line).
Try a color line (Green, blue, black, red or purple) diagonally across the shield or if you get braver, a chevron with circles above and below.
Much better than the car pic ;) I like the way you've painted the armour and her hair. You might wanna consider painting something on the shield. It's a bit boring.
