Dark Angel

I painted this mini for MicroArt Studio. It was sold on eBay. All the detail is freehand. I began this hobby with collecting Dark Angels and, although I steered far beyond the dim light of the Astronomicon recently, I feel somehow related to them. I found it very satisfying to paint a Dark Angel after some 3 years. I think I'll start with them again! It's based on MicroArt Studio's resin base All comments welcome

I disagree, the highlighting is awesome.

The armour detailing is amazing but the highlighting is too extreme for my tastes.

This is not merely dark green/ light green. The dark green is blended from 2parts black 1 part DA green to DA green - as this was done using the wet brush technique (blending the colours when they were still wet) it doesn't come up well in photo - it is made in such a way that the natural shades are darkened and the lighter areas are highlighted. The edging is light green and this makes the contour of the armour stand out. I must tell you that this technique really looks better in person that in photo, but I'm not painting to win awards for pictures of the minis!
