Libertee the Viking

Libertee was the first Hasslefree miniature that I have painted. In fact, it was the first Kev White mini I have painted, and I must admit, it was a real dream! His super-smooth lines and flat surfaces make blending a must, but also gives you plenty of space to practice. I painted this mini for Hasslefree themselves and it can be found on their website. http://www.jenova.dk/hassle/front.htm This was the first time I have painted gold platmail using a recipe I discovered whilst trying to stop GWs shining gold being so orange! Shining gold plus Vallejo Model Colour US Olive Drab! then inkwashed with black and brown ink, and highlighted through burnished gold to mithril silver. A final brown inkwash was then added... I was happy anyway!

She looks like she means business :D I certainly wouldn't like to tangle with her. Lovely tones, make her look very earthy and reaslistic. Nice metallics too :D

Hi Petey I like especially the face...it looks so cool. the metallics are as good as ever on your minis. one thing is not mine...the haircolour is a bit flat. so keep it up greets Micha

This is pretty nice overall; I really like the color combination. I think the metallics could use a bit more depth (especially the axe), but it's nice to see some well-done true metallics. ;)
