Bretonnian Lord (Competition)
This miniature did a couple things - first, it happened to be a product of a GW painting competition. Second, it brought me "back" to my Bretonnian Knights and reminded me of the fact that I occasionally like to paint heraldry. Third, it made me start a Bretonnian Army... which I am painting now. Since He had a winged Lion as his headpiece, I thought of Venice - and took a look at ancient venetian heraldry. I saw also some aragonian (spanish) influence in here, so there went the colors and the symbolism. A lot of people discouraged me from using yellow, as it was "difficult to paint" - I agree on that most other colors are easier, but it just looks right to me.
