It`s one of my first really finished figures and my first figure on coolminiornot *juhuuuu, cool feeling! I like the base very much. I worked about 30 hours (10h building/20h painting). Please send me your comments.

I would think that even though they are dirty the boots would show a bit of the orange/red from the base. Not as much as the metal for sure.. but some.

I have to say, that though you have a bit of work to do, you're definitely on the right track. Light-sourcing isn't a technique that I've tried yet, but you've gotten a good start on it it seems. Work on the depth of your flesh colors and perhaps a bit on the color scheme. I quite like the base. Your blending is nice, but, as was said earlier, while you light-sourced on the shield, some of the other parts of the model, like the boots, kind of missed out. A nice piece overall.
