My first attempts at painting 40k Blood Angels

These are the very first minis I have ever painted. I have a Vet Sgt w/ a 4 man squad and my Chaplain. Oh yeah, these photo was taken as a work in progress. I will have to take a newer one. I have painted the chainsword now and added little details here and there to the marines (like squad markings on the armor and the like) I am going to have a squad banner on the Sgt, but I havent finished it yet.I have a ton more guys to paint ( the other 5 men in the squad, 10 more death company, another 10 man Tac Squad, an 8 man Scout squad w/ sniper rifles, a Furiouso Dread, a Land Speeder and 2 rhinos) or my wife will kill me. Hope to get some good feedback (ie. constructive criticism)

Now you do realize that highlights are to show where light reflects off of an object, right. The scale of the miniature are too small for this to be naturally shown, so we must paint them in.

Very good for a first attempt, if you want some advise then I would look at the following: The sergeants weapon looks black, if this is the case paint it (if not more severe highlighting maybe?) The sergeants banner pole, either put a banner on it, or cut it away, looks silly without one The bases are very bowling green at the moment, mix in patches of other greens and browns to add abit of interest and maybe some foliage/rocks/bricks etc
