Warriors of Rohan - 8 archers
Please don't give me any 10's here, as these models are just intended for gaming :) Allow me to tell you a little story regarding these minis. I've been painting miniatures for about a year now, but I've never done any tabletop gaming. A few weeks ago I found a tabletop gaming group in the town where I live, however. So I visited them and asked all sorts of questions about warhammer and lotr and gaming in general. And I ended up trying a couple of games of lotr and warhammer, and I liked lotr the most, because it's much simpler than warhammer. Lotr seems to be more aimed at new gamers, like myself. So I thought I'd give it a try. I had no models for lotr though, so I had to get some. Evil or good? Orcs, uruk-hais, elves or dwarves? There are a lot of lotr minis to choose from. I ended up with Rohan, because I like the wide variety of units, and because these warriors come in a pack of 24 for about $20, which I think is very cheap. So with a 24 unit army of Rohan units and some additional hero units, I intend to try gaming a bit more, and lotr to begin with. It takes time to paint up an army I've noticed, even if it's only about 30 units. I'll put up pictures of the rest of the army as I paint it :)
