Darkness Elemental with lighting source (upd. pics)

This is my first approach to the simulation of a light source. The light comes from a water pool inside the elemental base. The base was carved and I have used some green stuff to fill the gaps and connect it to the miniature (you can view the WIP here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/56281 ) Once designated the starting point for the light source I have painted the miniature starting from a black primer and using different shades of green for the areas directly hit from the source and browns for the "dark" parts. The worst part was to detect the areas that are covered in some way and cannot be reached by the light and paint them in the dark color using washes to connect them to the lighter areas. I have also used multiple washes to give a green cast to the larves arount the base and to the scythe handle. To give some more color to the miniature I have painted the exposed muscles in red. Comments and suggestions are welcome (as always)

It's good, but you have the green water pool producing a lot of light, even for an OSL model, and it probably would have looked better if you faded ,at least, the center of the pool to a lighter shade. Otherwise great mini.
