Dwarf Lancer.

Another old Citadel commission piece. Wish i could keep this great mini for myself. That pony has so much attitude... he coulda taken the place of that ass in Shrek i'm sure. The woodgrain came out good and i think the bright colours suit. One mistake which stands out somewhat is the pattern on the saddle blanket.. Didn't quite get it identical on both sides. Not so obvious when in the display cabinet, but my eye is drawn right to it in the pics. And before anyone says there aren't ponies of such colours in real life, you should come and look at some of the wierd colour combos on Dartmoor ponies... Where i don't live many miles from.

Fantabulous. I think what you have attempted to portray is called an "overo paint" (the other type of pattern being a "tobiano paint" - check out www.apha.com) but you would not have a dark sock, and certainly not have a single sock dark on one side light on the other. Of course, this is the sort of detail most mini collectors don't have a clue about. This is a fantastically characterful dwarf and I've never seen one with the spanish dandy type facial hair. It's great. Hilarious piece superbly done.

I think I just fell in love with this mini, I have to have it! (You don't have a spare one, do you? ;)) I especially like the woodgrain and the look on the pony's face.
