Spyrer Patriarch

My first commission piece for Games Workshop's Fanatic studio, this Spyrer Patriarch has been in White Dwarf and Fanatic Mag issue 2!! YAY! Was interesting to paint a 'resin' original rather than a metal master, but it did mean i was much more restricted with bending the mechadendrites (doc-octopus tentacle things) on his hunting rig. It was a black and gold brief, and i think it complements the model well! It was also the first time I have thought a little more about colour theory and added green to the flesh tones in an attempt to make a more natural colour... I was pleased with it! Comments are more than welcome! Thanks all!

I cannot understand why this is not scoring higher everything about the mini is great, great metalwork and the black looks very good but the best part for me is the face, fantastic.

Bah! why is this only a 7.6??? I think you have done really well working within the constraints. His face is great and I like the detailed base too. Lovely Peter :D
