I agree, some highlighting on the red will tke this model to a whole new level and make is a really good peice, i do menoth as well and know that highlighing the red takes a bit of time and doesnt look as though anything is happening when your adding a tiny amount of red to the mix but it does add a lot of depth to the model!
For a game piece, he it does the trick but if you want to "fancy" him up a bit try shading the whites and highlighting the reds using some easy layering techniques. it will take longer to paint but will look stunning
