Nice colours, although you need to try and neaten up your painting a bit. Try some dark lining where the skin shows between the fabric and his boot. Also you could improve the eyes a great deal by just adding 2 dots of white into the outer corners of his eyes, giving him a pupil. Keep up the good work :D
