Not a bad fig well above average, The painting is a little bland. As for the idea to rate the figure lower the score based on the selection of the figure and its sculpt job is ridicilious. Unless you convert and/or sculpt everything yourself the figure is limited to how it was made.
I think it's valid to reduce a score based on the choice of mini, because composition is half of the battle. I hate all the fianna models as well, but actually, I think this is one of the best renditions I've seen. I like the dark colouring and subdued tone. The only thing that marks it down for me is the rather grainy NMM on the sword.
Paintjob is excellent. Figure is pretty correct anatomically as well. After all, she's reaching back as well as winding up for a "haymaker" swing with that sword of hers, and therefore the rib cage would be twisted as muscles in the back, torso, and abdomen contracted, absorbing that potential energy for a truly epic swing. Try it, you'll see. Besides, I believe it is inappropriate to rate based on the sculpt, unless the painter also did the sculpt. We work with what the sculptor and the foundry give us, and you've done a beautiful job. Thanks for sharing it.
