Sauron Lord Of The Ring

Sauron is the latest GW figure designed by Alan Perry, I think it is one of his best miniatures to date. It was not an easy mini to paint, no real colour. I have tried to paint Sauron as he was depicted in the movie. The armour has a green tinge and I have tried to keep his cloak as black as possible with subtle shading. I hope you like it. Brian

Figure is perfect. The base I don't like. As pointed out, the ground shouldn't be green beneath his feet, but my beef is with the arrangement. It looks like a big wester boot (or worse a lady's shoe) with Sauron emerging from the top. IMHO a different shaped rock would have been a better choice.

The metalwork is great and I like the base it gives the miniature a little color to stand out. Outstanding work
