Eldar Biel Tan Warlock

Okay, this one was my triumph, and my greatest despair. When I finished it, I thought, wow, this will finally be my 7.0 on CMON. I couldn't wait to take a pic and put it on. Alas, the picture is not always true to the mini. I used no less than 8 different greens on the mini, but how many are visable? About two. The sword is white with gray edges blended in, but what color does the blade appear? White, just plain white. Well, I can still look at it in person, so you sometimes just have to laugh. So LOL LOL LOL LOL Alrighty, as always, comments are extremely welcome :)

Green fairy
Pictures can make all the difference. Believe me I know, but I think the jewels look superb. Please share your secret.

Well, personaly I see 3 diff greens - but it makes no difference :)... First, you paint it a bit wrong, for example, look a bit right to it's knee - the area should be bright green up to the sword's handle, not just on the knee itself... The same problem with the sleeve - you paind dark green (Dark Angel?) where it shoul be brighter one (Snot Green?)... Second, gems should be painted darker, and then highlighted up to almost white... Then white should be painted with more contrast - you can give this one a was of black inc or brown inc (thin it down with water) and paint white one more time... And the last one - if blending (feathering) is hard, do it as I do - use incs before (or sometimes even after) the las highlight.... For example, I'd paint cloak in this way: 1:1 chaos black + dark angel green, dark angel green on it's own, 1:1 dark angel + bleached bone. 1 Green Ink (maybe add a bit of Black Ink) to 3 part water. Then 1:2 Dark ang + Bleached Bone.... Hope It helps
