Equestrian Statue

It's a dark picture, but it's not washed out like the other one. The oxidized bronze effect came out better in this shot, too. It's Ral Partha, Hirst Arts, green stuff and some balsa wood.

Thanks. I wasn't very patient when I did this one. I'm going to repaint the base and mount it on a little base for the base, as it were. I like your idea about making it look as if it were made from several different kinds of stone. I'll look at some color theory tutorials and coordinate everything off of the green color. Then I'll repost it.

Not bad. You could do something about that stone base, though. Before drybrushing it, you could glaze some different colours here and there. Real rocks aren't monotonously gray, but have shades of green, red, and several other colours. After the glazes, drybrush. I'd paint some really thin black lines here and there too (all in the same direction), representing cracks in the stone.
