High Elf Captain

A WarHammer High Elf Character painted in a more sinister colour scheme than what they are famous for. The horse's body is from an Empire character, chosen first because for some strange reason I lost half the elf horse's body (still don't know how) but also because I think it fit's the scheme very well. Worked really hard on this one, maybe TOO hard. Please tell me what you think.

This is a very nice gaming piece. I can see that you have most of the basics down, you've got some highlighting going on, and you clearly have some brush control. I like the gems you've done, one thing that I would suggest though, as you get more techniques under your belt I would suggest thinning down your paints. This allows you do do more blending techniques and create more depth to a mini.. You could also try exaggerating the highlights and shadows of the skin a bit, working your way up from a medium grey to the whitish-grey that you currently have.
