Swooping Hawk Exarch Eldar Biel Tan

Another Eldar for my husband's army...but there's a story behind this guy. I bought him, oh, about 5 years ago, one of the first minis I ever bought, because I thought he looked cool. I had to constantly protect him from my husband's scavenging; he wanted to take his wings and put them on a horseman, to make him look like a Polish Hussar. Anyway, fast forward a few years, and lo and behold, hubby decides to start playing 40K. So I'm going through our minis, deploring their state of unpaintedness (don't think that's a real word there), and the unpainted ones seem to be breeding, cuz there's a big old box full of them now. I know that hubby has decided to play Eldar, and he already has a tidy littly force, so when I see this Exarch I said, "Heya, lookie, here's another Eldar for the army." And since I liked the look of the Eldar before I even knew what they were, I painted him. So, I looked in the Codex, and it said something about Swooping Hawks having "glittering multicolored wings," so I thought rainbow effect. I was worried about it being gaudy and loud, but I honestly think it works. And I have to admit, I'm pretty proud of him. So, that being said, comments are always appreciated and welcomed!

just beautiful! I agree, if someone said to me, "i'm going to paint a swooping hawk with rainbow wings", i'd probably laugh but, you've pulled it off PERFECTLY! I have never seen a better looking xenos! Kudos!
