Another mini

well this is another WIP of a Gloom Wraith, and i know the dry brushing didnt turn out to well. I'd appreciate any tips on how to drybrush properly. THx

Ignore the other two comments I dry brush quite a bit and I won second place in the pro category of the last miniature contest I was in. I missed first by 1/2 a point. You can get great results with a dry brush even on a smooth surface but it takes a lot of practice to really make it work. I especially like a dry brush effect mixed with blending. Keep in mind my comment and the others before are just our opinions. I've painted close to 1,000 minis and all I have to say is practice practice practice, don't be afraid to try new things and your work will get better and better.

I agree. I don't drybrush anything, ever. It all comes down to thinning paint to the proper consistency.

To be honest if you want my opinion, the way to do drybrushing properly is not to do it, or at least only under very select circumstances (i.e. Fur). Read a few articles on blending as putting down the highlights yourself manually, while more time consuming is the way I believe to go
