Worker / Food in a Box for Pantin Nocturne

This is one of my first NMM Chrome effect, I wanted to do something metalic with chrome for a couple months already, but was to scared to try, and I didn't want to do it on a medieval mini since chrome was not existant in medieval time... But this miniature was perfect and I had a full team to do, so it was pretty scary to jump into this project with no experience what so ever... but I am very very happy with my result, even if I am sure to get lots of bad critics, I am still truely happy with what I did! Your comments are welcome. This miniature is for a game that is comming out in mid-september, this mini is a units from the team, there is 4 like him in the team "Food in a Box", he is called "Worker" and I just love him, the game is also so great... if you are curious to find out about it, you can visit: www.steamlogic.com www.steamlogic.com

Wow thank you for your comment, I am very pelased that you like it... as for how i did it... I looked at many chrome pieces at home, perfum bottle etc... placed them on a table near the window to see the reflection of the natural light on them, and I used shadow grey from valejo, some white for the light reflection, a little black mixte in the lower line of reflection mixt with the shadow grey, and some electric blue mixt with the shadow grey for the highest part such as the helm and the brest and shoulder. as for the way to apply it, I need lots of practice to make it look real, but i would suggest to do like i did and use some real little chrome pièces and put some lights on them to get the way reflections are made on the part.
