I think pink for shading is a good choice at this model. Europid type people have a lot of pinkish, sometimes reddish color on their skin, but painters often forget this and use only a darker brown tone then the base color.
Little bit of gloss all over is fine if it is something like this. I mean she is a fighter and probably Sweated some. Very very nice job but I didn't like the pinks. I mean the shadowing. Probably same tone brown would do better. And a trick about matt cotes. Use airbrush:} Or use Humbrol matt cote. Works well:} Very very nice job.
