I think you achieved what you were shooting for, it definately has the feel of an old western. The biggest drawback to this piece I feel is the sculpt itself (can you say stumpy fingers!). Other than that it seems the browns and the skin could probably all benifit from one or two more layers of highlights, and another layer of blue on the beads would make them really stand out. The metallic on the axe also looks very flat and thick. The base is beautiful however. Overall Good job
