Not bad work for somebody who's just recently started painting. My biggest piece of advice to you is to thin your paints more. Depending on the colour and the basecoat that you did, you may need several coats, but it'll look better in the end. Also, for some quick and easy shading, try using watered-down inks. This, combined with some basic highlights, will improve the look of your miniatures greatly, with a minimum of effort. Once you've got that down, it'll be time to start working on the more advanced techniques. The base that you did for this goblin is pretty cool! I know it's a lot better than the bases on most of my minis.
