This Demonic figure is a commission that I have made for Ian Miller from RebelHairs (http://www.rebelhairs.com/) .
The mini is based on an artwork of Ignazio Corrao , an amazing designer.
Truly excellent (as ever) m8! I envy your opportunity to work on such a challenging project. It must have taken you ages to nail it, I think you've made a remarkable miniature. :)
Gorgeous work! The musculature and the articulation in her right arm is especially easy on the eyes.
Her right leg looks a little thick down by the inside curve of her ankle. It looks from the picture as if the curve from the inside bottom edge of her right calf down to the bone of her ankle wants to be a little more concave. I'm embarassed shooting such a beautiful figure for the holes, especially with my own clumsy work staring down at me from the top of my monitor but the rest of the figure is so shapely that one little thing stands out.
Oh...dont know where to start with this one really..Im a very big fan of your work...but having sat back for another look...it may be beacuse this is a specific commission from very specific artwork.....but something about it doesn't hang together for me. I just dont like it much. Your usual expert eye for form and proportion comes through...but you really have to look too hard. The demonesses human body area is well done..bum and boobs nice..great leg shape..but her hands look very long (but maybe thats the demon influence?), however, its her face that is the oddest..the chin and mouth appear slightly wrong...mouth too small, chin too big maybe? The tentacle things look too blocky and just not delicate enough in comparison to the rest of her...and I dont think her pose is either fluid or condusive to showing off the model overall. All this is of course is only trying to compare this sculpt to your incredibly high normal standards...for many others this would be the pinnicle of their modelling career...but not yours.
