Ork Freebooter Nob

A pirate ork wading through a swamp on a desolate moon.. painted a few years ago to resemble a freebooter ork nob. this is a repost with brand new pictures. My first try on greenstuff. ;) But what is the orks name? (to get it.. you have to have the old ork codex.. and translate the runes) (er.. i guess my "design" of the pic can be a bit distracting but.. he is an ork you know.. ork's never been into good taste much :P)

Nice job on this one, the green marine helmet really helps to bring out the green in the ork flesh. The strong points on this piece are the flesh (ork and head trophies), and I like how your metalics turned out, very efective. The places I see that could use some work are the shoulder pads, which look very flat, as do the pants, definately not the same level of painting cloth you show on the gray wraps around the horns. The back is also very dark with my eye being drawn to the blonde hair of the trohpy head, which also looks a little flat. I also personally find the base a bit of a distraction as well as seeming a bit unfinished. Overall this is nice work and would look great on the table in battle!

Great paint job. I guess I am too hardcore old school. I thought those were the glyphs from the old Waaaaaagh Ork book.
