Elf Ranger

My most recent work. Even though you can't see it, I did highlighting on the back of the cloak. The paint scheme is really kinda strange, but I wanted something different than what's on the box, and it turned out cool. I used several techniques that are new to me(Drybrushing on the pants, Highlighting on the back of the cloak). The pic isn't very good though(stupid scanner!). I know I didn't do any basing, I don't have any flock, and my mom isn't about to let me use her herbs and spices for basing(from the article). Please Rate, and help me if you see anything that should be fixed...

well, i think most of your comments are kinda rough and even kinda jerky sometimes... Indeed we can't rate this as a 10... obviously, but comments are not there to say: "well, before using many techs, learn to use a paintbrush"... just stupid, helps nobody and often hurt... Demon, i hope i will help you to improve, if not i beg your pardon: 1. Prime your mini white. 2. basecoat your mini (here: green, blue, red, black...) 3. use thomas david's method ( http://www.siroz.com/retour-des-dieux/chroniques-de-la-lune-noire/aides-de-jeu/index.htm ) very simple, fast and helpful. 4. and learn how to thin your paint, not too much, but enough not to seem grainy and thick. 5. if you need more help, send me a msg. Hope it'll help you - Michael

Actually, this is a little bit better than the one i made in a speedpaint-comp(5min). My tip to u, if u prime white, u must be very careful that paint is everywhere, and try some felsh-wash in eye-sockets, its helps. Keep it up
