2nd company Ultramarine Assault Squad

When I saw the new color scheme for the Ultramarines in White Dwarf I wanted to take a stab at painting them up. I think the they turned out very well considering they were painted primarily to be used on the gaming table. I spent extra time detailing the Urban Rubble bases as well as adding battle damage to the marines. You will find all sorts of bolter shell impact craters, chainsword / claw damage, etc. I also took pains to accurately represent chapter and squad symbols as per the Insignium Astartes. The fence also turned out really cool. I found old propaganda poster pictures and scaled them down to fit GW scale. I tinted the paper with various inks. The fence is also part of the auction. A nice squad indeed. a tip on the markings if you paint them in Black first and the pass on top with the final color (i.e this case white) you get a nice thin black border for the markings which would truely boost the final immage. keep up the good wok!
