Menoth Revenger

As always: Thanks to everyone who commented and voted on Blackbeard. Much appreciated. So here's the first soldier of my Warmachine army. I'd been debating colour schemes for weeks and couldn't come up with anything that really pleased me. I wanted my army to look different from everybody elses, but still keep a somewhat pure and sacred air to it, which meant a light colour(on a black undercoat, argh, it was a major pain in the butt to get that to cover; 6-8 layers for the basecoat alone!) and something else than red/brown/purple/whateversbeendonebefore. My choice eventually fell on GW's old Deadly Nightshade combined with off-white and real copper metal. Next problem was the rims on the shoulder pads, first they were red like the tabard but it just didn't do it for me. People suggested NMM gold and it does work rather well I think. About the tabard, at first I had wanted to paint it like tartan but it would have been just a bit too much so I left it red. A pair of glowing green eyes thrown in for good measure and I was finished. All in all I'm pretty satisfied with the way it turned out. It's classy and clean and fits Menoth well. :) Picture was taken indoors with my desk lamp, that's why the backround's brownish. *shrug*

Brother Tom
Great job the painting looks smooth and clean and I like the metallic areas, the detail on the gauge is very good. IMO a bit of weatering and wear and tear would look good, maybe some oil stains and scorch marks on the metal areas.
