Kneeling Tiriel

Another Hasslefree miniature, I painted Tiriel for the mini-exchange over on Headblast.de Painted in my usual metallic style she was great fun to paint, I hope you like her. The base is actually one of my favourite bits - a plaster of paris rock from a rock mould! And some shrubbery by woodland scenics...

The base was made from plaster of paris in a rock mould and painted using vallejo game colour paints - basically wet brushed with the vallejo versions of the following GW colours, mixing and wet blending as i progressed... Scorched Brown --> Bestial Brown --> Snakebite Leather --> Bubonic Brown --> Bleached Bone --> Skull white I then gave it a glaze of black and brown ink with a touch of goblin green. The shrubbery is from Woodland Scenics.

The base is very realistic, how did you do it?

Her armour really shines, she must keep it very clean. Again the face is great, she looks very serene. Love the base too, very effective :D I like the little bit of highlight on her fringe...
