Chaos Warrior Unit

This is one of my units of Chaos Warriors, and in the true style of the Nameless, it consists of the weird, strange and peculiar. The origin of The Nameless goes back to just after the emergence of Slaanesh, youngest of the Gods of Chaos and last of the four great powers to emerge into the mortal realm. With the For Gods established, their following growing and their chosen selected, it was at this time that The Nameless came into being. Forged from the very stuff of Chaos left behind, it became a rallying point for those touched by the power of the Warp, but not chosen. The ones left behind, that would never be looked upon favourably by the Gods, in essence, the Chaotic equivalent of the last kids to be picked for the playground football match, the ones that always got stuck in goal! As such, The Nameless Host gathered up all these lost souls, the strange, the different, the small, the weak and the just positively weird. The figures are all Citadel/GW, and as with the rest of the Army, most are old and OOP, selected from variety of ranges, based purely on what I felt ‘looked right’. Whilst I do like the current GW stuff, it can be a bit samey and IMOHO lacks some of the character and humour of their earlier ranges. And if you think these warriors are strange, wait till I post some of the other units, such as the Furies or the Horrors. They also provide a slightly sneaky tactical advantage in games, as many of the figures look so cute, that psychologically, people do no see them as much of a threat, at least not until they Unseen Lurker into their battle line, by which point its too late (or at least that’s the plan !)

These are excellent. The paint jobs are very subtle yet very colorful all at the same time. Great job!

Thank you very much for your kind comments, I'm glad you like them. As for the Duck guy, he is a very old, long OPP Citadel figure from their Rune Quest range, with a shield added from GW's current plastic Empire Knights boxed set. When not with this unit, I use him (or her, all things being equal), as an Exalted Champion of Tzeentch, as they are often 'gifted' by Tzeentch to take the form of a bird. As such, it is quite funny to watch this diminutive Duck rip up the opposition, almost all of whom are at least twice the size! Kindest Regards Mr Nameless

Nice use of the old Citadel chaos warriors and familiars! Also, Where the heck did you get that duck guy? Did you sculpt him? He's freaking awesome!
