Vampire Bride

This is a 54mm mini sculpted by SJB. Every vamp movie image I've seen has been incorporated into this figure. For those aged 18+ I referenced work by Sorayama & Marcus Gray. The challenge in painting this mini was to try and represent different textured materials: Translucent dress; PVC filigree and head & foot wear; velvet cloak; slate dagger blade. Freehand was attempted with the spooky tendrils on her inner cloak (vampire essence), the glyphs on the back of her head dress and the blood vessels on her cheeks. The flagstone base was shaped from green stuff, the gullies of blood built up with inks and gloss varnish.

Stunning job this is the best versoin of this mini i've seen so far. I think you have hit the nail on the head. Good freehand work, i'm glad you have overcome your fears.

I love the concept. The only thing (in my mind) keeping this from a higher score is the apparent chalkiness of some of the blending (like on areas of the flesh and on the translucent parts of her dress). If I ever get this mini, consider the idea stolen. ;)
