Another from the re-released GW Marines. I did some nice free hand on the banner and cloak.I also gave him a raised cork 40 mm base. I really liked this mini, he just has a presence to him. I stayed with the usual ultramarine colours since he is the Chief Librarian. This will be the last marine for a little while so get ur bids in ;) Ja Green Man Miniatures

I dont think that the base distracts any attention from the actual miniature. When i look at some of the other high score bases with pillars, little animals, slaughtered foes, ponds or whatever i think that this base is a proper stand for this paintjob and rather plain! (Dont get me wrong i really love these scenery-packed bases! :))

Keep the base like that - suits it really well and makes the mini stand out of the crowd!! Really cool dude :)

Thx for the compliments on this mini :) AS to the base to each thier own. I decided to go with a tall base for Tigurius because he is the Cheif Librarian and as such should have a high vantage point on the field scoping out enemies that he can smite with his powers and also a place to direct his forces from. I believe, as an artist, that the base should frame the mini and help to tell the story of the mini, not be something merely for the mini to stand on, as such I always try to make the base look at least as good as the mini.
