Malcolm Templar

This is my first mini that I have put online. I have been painting for one year so comments or advice are appreciated.

You asked for comments so here goes: All your painting is neat and tidy, there are no visible overpainted areas. But the whole model is showing no painted shadows or Highlights. Given the neatness of your painting I believe that it will not be difficult for you to adapt the method of washes to suite the colours needed for shadows. Highlights should also be easy for you to work on. There is one thing that you will need to pay attention to and that is the issue of Molding lines. There are two still showing on this figure, one on the sword hilt and one on the cloak. Easily removed with the edge of a sharp knife (just be careful with your fingers). One final thing about this figure, the face /head reminds me of Jean-Luc Picard. :D

6.5 Your mini is neatly painted but needs more contrast ie shades and highlights, also a bit more attention when preparing the mini for painting. There is a mold line on the cross guard on the sword and also on the arm. With practice you will find these things get easier and your scores will rise. Keep it up.
