Bloody good to say you only started a month ago! First the base lets it down alot, it needs 'something'. The orange looks well painted, but a little too jolly (fluff-wize), and the colour-scheme looks 'mono-chrome'. But alot of positives to take from this mini :D
I really like the subtle use of lighting effects on the staff thingie (sorry for the technical jargon :-) ) HOwever, to give any pointers, we really could use a closer photo of the mini. It's hard to tell much of the details from thins photo and the devil is in the details.
