A good attempt at a "red-hot" sword blade, but your transitions are still pretty rough. Also, the illuminated areas shouldn't be as bright as the blade itself, since they aren't themselves glowing. The base looks quite good but try to keep basing material off the sides, it doesn't look very tidy.
