... not sure whether i like the sharp contrast or not for the highlights ... i think you were going for the "Marvel comic" highlights ... but is it appropriate here? Just asking ...

Work in a few mid-tones with your paints diluted to a semi-translucent opacity, and I'm sure your rating will go up significantly.
