Painted summer 04 A conversion based on the Redemptor Kyrinov, this model gave me the opportunity to try out some sculpting. I removed the large hat and sculpted hair + added a purityseal on the scythe. The scythe was taken from the zombie boxed set. This was the second model painted since my 2 year pause from the hobby.. It was all about remembering old techniques and learning new. I did this one from a white undercoat.. which I haven't done for years. The freehand-lettering was added a few weeks ago, I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Nex est tantum exordium - Death is only the beginning I hope it says so anyway ;) /Sven

Oh yeah... that is wonderful.. the text : "Nex est tantum exordium" can actually mean 2 things. 1) Death is only the beginning.(Weeee..) 2) Violent death is only the beginning. They are vey alike and the meaning/morale is the same. GREAT job!!! (and by the way, i am stealing the idea. ;)) - Frobenius

Excellent work. The free hand is nice, but I think the scythe blade + gore is waht I like best. A solid 9.

whoa...your excellent painting skill makes this one look like a inquisitor-scale mini, congratulations to you! i really love the highly effective conversion work, it contributes to the mini instead of overpowering the original sculpt, something i am constantly guilty of...again, your freehand makes this guy shine, absolutely impressive piece, your best in my eyes! keep up the fab work! happy painting!
