I made this as a christmas present for my son's fiancee.

The base is a candle top and the water is Woodland scenics water effects with ink washes.
The shells are real so's the sand.
That's a lovely gift! The arrangement and use of colour on the base is very cool, as is the use of a larger shell for the overall setting. The mini looks good, too, although hard to see details at this distance.
Nice dio!! The water looks particularly good, although where it's hanging over the lip of the shell looks a bit odd. Wish I could see the mini a bit better as well. Your son's fiancee is very lucky to have you as a future in-law. :)
