this was my entry for the B&C space marine commander painting comp...and unfortunately, it ended up way more rushed and sloppy than i'd hoped. oh well, my bad and also unfortunate was my realisation that purple is a right pain to work with (or at least the workshop stuff). does all kindsa whacky things also on this is some of the first freehand i've really got into. i went for the cliched checkerboard pattern on the knee just to get into the swing of things, and then wored from there...and i'm very happy with the rose (tho i might have to improve a bit next time i try it)

The colour scheme reminds me of The Emperor's Pointy Sticks from Turn Signals on a Land Raider. Great job!

you're pretty hard with yourself. It's a great job, no matter what. Precise, good color scheme, the helmet, the eagle-heads and the shoulders are a piece of art.

Nice work the painting is clean and precise, I like the rose on the chainsword. You need to do some darklining in the deepesr recesses of the armour plates but still a good effort well worth a 7 or 7+
