I like the skintones. However, I think you need to work more on the scythe and the horns -- they look like wood, which I don't think they should. Also, I'd suggest adding some highlights to the metals, and making the blood stains darker so that they look more realistic. And if it were me, I'd get rid of the blood on the base -- it's too thick to my liking and spoils the overall impression.
