Elven Throne and 2 Plants - MEGA Miniatures
I originally found this mini in a bargain bin at my FLGS around '91, probably just after it was created. (I still have that one, although it's a bit faded.) So when I found this set on the paizo site I finally knew the source and the sculptor (J. Ochmann) and so I purchased a new set to see how my styles compare. While looking for a good marble paint for another mini, I entered a Michael's craft store and it tempted me, so I bought it. I know that NMM is the thing, and metalic paint is frowned upon, so glitter paint must be HERESY! (Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.) I bought green and gold glitter paint but I only used green paint on the chair, using normal gold metalic for the highlights. Back in the old days I used to call this the "pot" throne, because although it is probably supposed to look like a palm tree, the leaves do sort of bear a resembelence to a more infamous weed. This is my first outdoor photo, because I wanted a point source (the sun) to do the glitter right. The front shot is just right, but the sun came out in full force for the back shot.
