Miss Bea Haven My CCIV entry

If you came here from the CCV thread, :-P Gotcha! I never said which Chick Challenge. So I finally got around to posting last years entry. This is a Parker Brothers game piece from a game called Top Secret. She stands just over 30mm including the base. She was for the Chick Challenge and she was a real challenge. I've never painted anything that big before (or since) and let me say, big minis are not forgiving. They show every flaw. She was fun to do though. The faces are mirror images of each other. I used my wife's coloring for face #1, and her makeup kit to choose makeup colors. The other I sort of made up from various blonde pics on the internet made rather tan for contrast. On face #1 I did NMM with the lettering and on #2 I did SENMM. Second time with NMM and 1st time SENMM and have to say SENMM was easier. Another first is woodgrain. The pic doesn't show it too well, but the base is painted a rich dark cherrywood. It looks awesome in person. As always, I look forward to your comments, and any tips on smoothing the skin on large scale minis is greatly appreciated.

Hmm.. Ms. Bea burnette has a very sultry, bedroom eye look going for her, but Ms. Blonde Bea has a 'I drank too much and just threw up on my boyfriends lap, do you wanna make out' look, so obviously the blonde is better.

Vince, great fleshtones and love the lettering and woodtones... only nitpicks are that her eyes don'e quite seem to be even (either set). The brunet has her right eye looking up more than her left. The darklining is maybe a bit heavy under the chain and under the hair on the blond. Setting back from the monitor they both look fantastic though. ever thought of being a makeup artist?
