For a first effort it's pretty decent. Try undercoating/priming with ether Cidadel skull white or white Design Masters floral paint avalible at allmost any craft store. apply several thin coats,Rember it's easyer to paint a dark color over a lite undercoat than lite over dark. You could also faint youre' reds as a orange then prepair a wash of red paint/ink to darken it . Overall a good start "I wish my early work looked as good" Keep the faith, and rember the only person you have to impress is youreself.
