Sorcerer

Most of minis that I have right now were purchased and partially painted when I was a teenager in the mid 1980's. I have been finishing these, in a sense collaborating with my teenage self. I did a non metallic red for the armor of this sorcerer so it would look a bit less like and armored warrior and more mystical. I think the robes came out very well, it was an experiment with glazing, starting with the highlights as the base color and adding depth through semi-transparent glazes.

I think it's very cool that you're revisiting your old work and updating it. The glazing technique has resulted in a nice bright glow for the upper highlights, though some of the transition layers could be a little smoother. The red also has a nice glow, though it seems a bit odd to me that all of his face is red/armoured?
