I tried some free hand on the back of his cloak. Not as successful as I'd hoped. I was going for the Nordic blond instead of red hair, as all the people of Swedish and Norwegian descent in Minnesota are blond. I learned a lot working on the NMM on this guy. The base is supposed to resemble cracked ice.

This guy is beautiful. I have a couple of suggestions for the cloak. I've been experimenting with snow effects; try dipping an old toothbrush in a shallow tray of 50/50 white and, like, flick it at him with your thumbnail. this makes perfectly round speckles of assorted sizes. :D But you might have to either paint the cloak first or mask him off somehow... it gets everywhere. Also, the lightning might look more realistic if it tapered at the bottom a little more.

What'th he thor about? :D The way to make your yellow look both more "gold", AND more "blonde" is for it to be warmer - that is, more red/less blue. Think GW Sunburst Yellow instead of Bad Moon Yellow.

A good mini. But the nmm looks little to yellow, more than gold. And the beard look little to yellow than blond.:) Everything else is very good..
