Ogre Tyrant

This Guy is a fun one to do. Fisrt thing I want to mention is the little gnoblar that is strung up on a rope, At first I had no idea what to do with him cuase it look like he feel in his pose but has I took a closer look I noticed that he was being drug.so hence the tying him up. I also wanted to add the 2 sword gnoblars for gaming purposes. Then I thought why not have the general of your army on a display base. Althought I did not make the base until after the mini was finished which is not how I normally do a mini. Thanks for the votes All commentsand criticsim welcome and wanted. P.S. Frustrated Father

You are certainly improving in leaps and bounds there Howard! I think your metal work and rust affects are coming along nicely and the base-fu is as well. Only critique that I will add is that his nails are bristling clean and white which is unatural unless he has a gnoblar doing some manicure work :D . Try taking the base color of the skin and adding some bleached bone to it and use that for your nails, might come out a bit more naturel. Top work!

Well done Torath. You have good brush control and attention for detail. I like the dirty, rusty feel that you gave the metals. The base is nice but I would like to see some patches of snow on the rocks as well. I think that the skin tones on the ogre look a little flat on the front views and on the back veiw the shadowing does not seem quite right. Overall a nice looking mini, having that dark feel that ogers should have. I really had a tough time scoring this. 7.5 would be what I give this if I could, but as I am in a good mood today you get an 8. :D
